Silverish Brown Make Up

Oggi ho creato questo look sui toni caldi del marrone, con un dorato sulla palpebra, illuminati dall'argento sulla parte interna dell'occhio e sul punto luce. Ho usato prevalentemente ombretti Urban Decay dalle palette Naked e 15th Anniversary. Purtroppo le foto non rendono bene i colori.


Today I did this look based on warm brownish tones, with a golden one on the lid, highlighted by a silver on the inner part of the lid and on the brow bone. I mostly used Urban Decay shadows from the Naked and 15th Anniversary palettes, Unfortunately pictures do not neatly enhance colors.

Shadow Primers-Comparison

Ho voluto fare una revisione di uno dei cosmetici che trovo maggiormente indispensabili nel make up, e che ogni azienda produce diverso ed adattabile a molteplici esigenze. Questi sono quelli in mio possesso. 

I want to post a comparison of one of the cosmetics which I think are mostly needed in make up, and which are produced differently by every company and adaptable to different needs. These are the ones I own.

Shadow Insurance - Too Faced

E' un fluido trasparente ma luminoso che si asciuga perfettamente una volta steso sulla palpebra.
It is a transparent but bright fluid which dries perfectly after having been blended on the lid.


Stay Don't Stray - Benefit

Questo è probabilmente il mio preferito in quanto è il più versatile. Può infatti essere usato anche sotto al correttore per fissarlo e schiarire il contorno occhi. E' però necessario prestare attenzione alla quantità in quanto ha una texture piuttosto pastosa e rischia di appesantire il make up.
This is probably my favourite one because it it is the most versatile. In fact it can be also used under concealer to fix it and brighten up the eye. It is however necessary to pay attention to the quantity because of its mellow texture which could make make up heavy.


Primer Potion (Original) - Urban Decay

E' un fluido molto valido se applicato sulla palpebra nella giusta quantità e steso bene finchè si asciuga.
It is a valid fluid if applied the right quantity on the lid and well blended until it dries up.


Primer Potion Eden - Urban Decay

Questo è il mio preferito fra i Primer Potion, in quanto illumina l'occhio.
This is my favourite among the Primer Potions because it brightens up the eye.


Primer Potion Sin - Urban Decay

Questo è quello che considero il più impegnativo fra i Primer Potion, perchè è iridescente e rosato, pertanto deve essere usato solo con ombretti dello stesso tono rischiando di enfatizzarli troppo.
This is in my opinion the most binding among the Primer Potions, because it is an iridescent pinkish fluid, so it has to be used only with shadows of the same tone and that risks to enhance them too much.


Primer Potion Greed - Urban Decay

Questo Primer Potion è perfetto come base per ombretti iridescenti con pigmenti dorati in quanto li fissa ed enfatizza.
This Primer Potion is perfect as a base for iridescent shadows with gilded pigments because it sets and enhances them.

... ??? Look

Mah???!!! Non sono tanto convinta di questo look. Di certo l'abbinamento dei colori è un pò inusuale. Non so se sia questo o il fatto che volevo provare il nuovo pigmento di Mac che ho acquistato ed avevo un altro effetto in mente. Fatto sta che  non sono soddisfatta e dovrò riprovare con un abbinamento diverso.
Ah! Ho anche provato le ciglia finte a ciuffetti....


???!!! I am not so convinced about this look. For sure the color match is a little bit unusual. I do not know if this is the reason or the fact that I wanted to try my new Mac pigment which I purchased and I have immagined a different effect. But I am not satisfied with this result and have to try again with a new match.
Ah! I have also tried false eyelashes in tufts....

Bright Day Look - with Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette

Ieri ho scoperto che Urban Decay è approdata nella mia città! E ne ho approfittato per acquistare la palette del 15° anniversario.
Adoro gli ombretti UD perchè hanno colori brillanti ma non troppo e sono molto pigmentati.
Oggi ho usato i colori più semplici per un look da tutti i giorni che però desse luce allo sguardo.


Yesterday I discovered that Urban Decay has arrived in my city! And I soon purchased the 15th Anniversary Palette.
I love UD shadows thanks to their not too much bright colors and they are very much pigmented.
Today I used the simpliest colors to create an everyday look which gives light to the eye.

Dopo aver infoltito le ciglia, su tutta la palpebra ho applicato un aranciato chiaro, sfumato ad un dorato al centro e ad un marrone brillante sull'intensità. Il punto luce è stato illuminato da un color burro.


After having thickened the lashes, apply a light orange on the lid, blended with a golden one on the central part and a bright brown on the intensity. The brow bone has been enhanced with a butter colored shadow.

Questo invece è il mio look Seductive per il concorso di Halloween di Make Up For Ever Italia.
Ho applicato un fondotinta chiaro mischiato all'illuminante per dare un tono etereo.
Ho portato un pò in fuori le sopracciglia per indurire i tratti.
Gli occhi sono stati contornati con due linee separate (quella superiore enfatizzata dall'eyeliner viola cangiante), fra le quali ho attaccato un brillantino a rombo. Sulla palpebra ho applicato un ombretto bordeaux sfumato al nero sull'intensità.
Con l'eyeliner ho disegnato la ragnatela.
Le labbra sono state caricate da un gloss scuro ma luminoso.


This is my Seductive Look for the Make Up For Ever Italia Halloween competition.
A light foundation has been applied mixed to an illuminating fluid to give an ethereal tone.
The eyelashes have been taken a little bit outwards to harden the lineaments.
Along the eyes two separate lines have been traced (the upper one enhanced with a bright purple eyeliner), between which a rhomboidal diamond has been attached. On the lid a bordeaux shadow has been applied and blended with black one on the intensity.
With eyeliner a spiderweb has been designed.
The lips have been charged with a dark but bright gloss.

Ieri ho preso un paio dei nuovi ombretti della Linea Pro Longwear di Mac, questo grigio-navy ed un altro grigio-marrone molto particolari.
Ho voluto provare il grigio navy in versione smoky. Ma siccome non è ancora inverno l'ho illuminato con il pigmento azzurro shimmer di Mac della collezione Surf Baby! Giusto un tocco perchè l'ho indossato per andare al lavoro...
Le ciglia sono state infoltite con la matita nera, e successivamente ripassate con l'ombretto cremoso nero shimmer sfumato verso la tempia.


Yesterday I bought two new shadows of the Mac Pro Longwear Collection, this navy-grey and another brown-grey which are particularly nice.
I wanted to try the navy-grey in smoky version. But since it is not winter yet I enhanced it with the Mac shimmer light blue pigment of the Surf Baby! Collection. Just a hint because I weared it to go to work...
The lashes have been thickened with the black pencil and later with the cream shadow in shimmer black taken outwards.

Questo look è piuttosto eccentrico ed estivo, basato sul tone sur tone, in cui l'eyeliner è il protagonista.

Dopo aver infoltito le ciglia, ho applicato l'ombretto acquamarina su tutta la palpebra, sfumandolo a quello senape cangiante sull'intensità e punto luce. Ho poi contornato interamente l'occhio con l'eyeliner verde shimmer, portandolo verso su all'esterno.

Ho applicato il mascara sia sotto che sopra per enfatizzare l'occhio.

This is an eccentric and summer look, based on tone sur tone, where the eyeliner is the protagonist.

After having thickened the lashes, I applied the aquamarine shadow on the lid, blending it with the shimmer mustard one on the intensity and brow bone. I then surrounded the eye with the shimmer green eyeliner, taking it outwards and upwards.

I then applied mascara on both upper and lower lashes.

Questo look è dedicato all'inizio della stagione della vendemmia, quando i colori iniziano a cambiare e farsi meno brillanti e più caldi...
Sulla parte interna della palpebra ho mescolato un verde opaco ad uno brillante, portandolo verso su. L'ho poi sfumato ad un senape brillante al centro. L'intensità è stata evidenziata da un borgogna, sfumato verso l'alto e verso l'esterno. Ho poi utilizzato lo stesso tono in crema per contornare l'occhio. Anche il mascara è dello stesso colore per far risaltare il tutto.


This look is dedicated to the beginning of harvest time, when colors start to change into less bright but warmer ones...
On the inner part of the lid I mixed an opaque green with a bright one, taking it upwards. I then blended it with a shimmer mustard on the central part. The intensity has been enhanced with a borgogna, blended upwards and outwards. I then used the same tone in a creamy version to surround the eye. Even the mascara is of the same color to enhance the whole.

Questo look è ispirato ad una delle attrici del momento: Mila Kunis, ed è basato principalmente sui toni del marrone-bronzo.
L'occhio è enfatizzato molto dal kajal intorno e all'interno. Il bronzo viene applicato sulla palpebra, mentre il marrone viene sfumato sull'intensità.


This look is inspired by one of the actresses of the moment: Mila Kunis, and it is basically based on brown-bronze tones.
The eye is enhanced by kajal around and inside. The bronze is put on the lid, while the brown is blended on the intensity.
